Trade fair photography in Nuremberg
Trade fair photography is my speciality – for more than 20 years, based right here in Nuremberg. From Spielwarenmesse, BIOFACH, embedded world and IWA OutdoorClassics through to it-sa, BrauBeviale and GaLaBau: I know the halls, the routes, the mixed lighting and the rhythm of an exhibition day. For you that means no briefing-in period, no wasted first hour and no discussion about accreditation – I am at your stand and I start working.
GaLaBau is among the fairs I have worked at most recently – the images below are from the previous edition at Messezentrum Nürnberg. Stand situations, machinery, consultations, visitor flows and the outdoor area: exactly the categories that will document your own appearance in 2026.

What gets photographed
Your trade fair appearance costs a multiple of what documenting it costs – and afterwards it lives almost entirely through the images. That is why I cover every category you will actually need at GaLaBau: for your website, the post-show report, social media, sales material and to promote your next appearance.
Your appearance as a whole: architecture, signage, lighting and stand design – including the quiet minutes before the doors open, when nobody is in the frame.
Excavators, wheel loaders, attachments, paving and maintenance equipment: product shots that lift the exhibit cleanly out of the surrounding bustle, plus detail and function images.
Consultation, demonstration, handshake: real situations instead of staged scenes. These are the images that actually work in a post-show report and on LinkedIn.
Your stand team at work, plus clean business portraits taken directly at the stand on request – nobody has to leave the fair.
Appearances at the expert forum, the Landscape Talks or on your own stand stage – speaker, audience and staging in one image sequence.
GaLaBau thrives on live demonstrations in the outdoor area. Machines in motion need someone who knows the timing – and takes up the right position beforehand.
Stand party after closing, customer evening, award ceremony: the moments where deals are made. Bookable in addition to the exhibition day, with the lighting technique evenings require.
How it works
In 15 minutes we clarify stand number, hall, time slot, image priorities and whether a board member is only on site at a particular hour. At no extra charge.
I am accredited and at your stand on time, work quietly and never interrupt a conversation. With a fixed shot list on request, otherwise documentary alongside your team.
On request and for an extra fee you receive a selection of edited images the same evening – in time for the social media post or the press release the next morning.
The full edited sequence is in your online gallery within 5 working days – that is the standard. Download in web and print resolution, full usage rights.
More than stills
A photograph shows the stand – a film shows the atmosphere. Reach on social media, emotion in your post-show coverage, a lasting brand film for your website: video is bookable in addition to the photo coverage, from one source and at the same stand.
Short vertical clips for Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok – quickly edited, on request already during the fair. Separately or alongside your photo booking.
Your trade fair appearance as a told story: stand, team, products and customer voices in a high-quality film that works far beyond the fair itself.
The complete fair as a professional film – multi-day coverage, controlled lighting, interviews and agency-level editing. Ideal for your next show recap.
Video is quoted individually and booked separately from photography – just mention it in your enquiry.
Pricing
You pay for time on site – not for the number of images. Every package includes editing, the online gallery and the commercial image rights. The flat travel fee is €35 within Nuremberg, Erlangen and Fürth – because I am based here, there are none of the journey and hotel costs an out-of-town photographer would add.
Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September 2026 are still available – Friday is already booked.
Each additional hour €150. Express delivery of first images the same evening is available at extra cost. All prices net, plus VAT. The terms of the price list apply.
Different calculation
Then you need something different from reportage. Not as much of the show floor as possible, but a few flawless images of the stand you built – for your portfolio and your next tender. Straight verticals, clean lighting, distractions retouched out: this is architectural photography in a trade fair setting. It therefore comes as a fixed package rather than an hourly rate, because the work sits less in the time at the stand than in the retouching afterwards.
Ideally before the doors open. That is when your stand is finished, tidy and free of visitors – the difference between a reference photograph and a snapshot. For that I need an exhibitor pass from you in good time, so I can get onto the grounds ahead of the visitors. Just tell me when the stand is fully built.
More images or several stands: quoted individually. Stand photography on the exhibition grounds is a special item and therefore not part of the general price list. All prices net, plus VAT – commercial image rights are included here too.
The trade fair
GaLaBau is the international leading trade fair for urban green space and outdoor living, held every two years at Messezentrum Nürnberg. In 2026 it runs from Tuesday 15 September to Friday 18 September.
For context on what that means for documenting your stand: at the 25th edition in 2024 the organiser reported over 66,000 trade visitors from 80 countries, with more than 1,100 exhibitors from 33 countries presenting across roughly 61,000 m² in 14 halls. In an environment like that, a visitor decides within seconds whether to stop – and those seconds are exactly what your images need to convey.

Frequently asked
Rates start at €390 plus VAT for up to two hours on site. Half an exhibition day (up to 4 hours) is €750, a full exhibition day (up to 8 hours) €1,500, each additional hour €150. A €35 flat travel fee within Nuremberg, Erlangen and Fürth is added. Every package includes image editing, the online gallery and full commercial usage rights. You are billed for time on site, not per image – there is no re-licensing and no surcharge for use on the web, in print or on social media.
The complete edited gallery is ready within five working days as standard – as a download in web and print resolution. If you need first images on the evening of the fair, for example for a social media post or a press release the next morning, an express selection is available for an extra fee. Simply mention it when booking.
That is a different product from reportage and comes as a fixed package rather than an hourly rate: €390 plus VAT for up to six images and up to 1.5 hours on site, including K2 high-end retouching. Stand photography means straight verticals, carefully placed lighting and retouching that removes distractions from the frame – technically it is architectural photography in a trade fair setting, and most of the work sits in post-production. Wherever possible these images are taken before the doors open, when the stand is finished, tidy and free of visitors; for that I need an exhibitor pass from you in good time. More images or several stands are quoted individually. Stand photography on the exhibition grounds is a special item and therefore not part of the general price list. Commercial image rights are included here as well, so you can use the images freely for your portfolio, website and tenders.
There is no fixed upper limit. Two hours typically produce 60 to 120 usable frames, a full exhibition day several hundred. You receive the edited selection – rejects, duplicates and blinks are sorted out beforehand.
Yes, photography on the exhibition grounds requires accreditation or an exhibitor pass. I take care of that in coordination with you – you do not need to deal with it, but please let me know your stand number and contact person in good time.
Yes, with every booking and at no extra charge. You receive commercial image rights unlimited in time, territory and purpose – for your website, social media, catalogue, advertising, stand construction, press work and sales material, including the right to pass images on to your dealers and partners. There is no re-licensing, no tiered pricing by usage and no follow-up invoice the year after. Credit as the author is welcome but not a condition.
At the fair I work consistently in a documentary style. That means no portrait shots of visitors, and nobody appears as the main subject of an image. People appear within stand situations, overviews and conversation scenes as part of the scene – not as the motif. Anyone shown more closely will be your own staff and the people they are talking to at your stand. This way of working is designed precisely so that you can use the images without having to collect consent from strangers afterwards. On request I additionally supply a selection in which no third parties are identifiable.
Yes. In addition to the photo coverage you can book vertical social media clips for Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, a brand film of your appearance, or a premium trade fair film covering the full run of the show – all from one source at the same stand. Clips can be edited during the fair on request. Video is quoted individually.
Yes, and at trade fairs this is often the most valuable part. VIP reception, customer evening, stand party after closing, award ceremony or dinner with your most important clients – I am bookable for these, in addition to the exhibition day. Evening events need different lighting and a different presence than the hall during the day; I bring both from over 20 years of event photography.
Yes. Many exhibitors book precisely the window in which their management is at the stand, a product premiere takes place or a talk is scheduled. Two hours is the minimum; anything beyond that is calculated hourly or as a day package.
In principle up to the day of the fair – realistically only while the date is still open. For GaLaBau 2026, Friday 18 September is already booked; Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September are still available. At leading fairs in Nuremberg the days are typically gone several weeks in advance, so early enquiries are safest.
Yes. Briefing, coordination at the stand and all correspondence are available in English throughout – useful given that around 30 percent of GaLaBau exhibitors come from outside Germany. File naming, captions and the gallery can be delivered in English on request.
